Marble Quarries Tour
A tour lasting approximately two and a half hours to discover Carrara’s most precious treasure: the white marble quarries. An immersive experience along dirt roads, climbs and descents, tunnels and galleries, leading through the three most famous marble quarrying basins in the world: Colonnata, Miseglia and Torano.
Aboard 4×4 off-road vehicles, the route reaches places normally inaccessible, allowing entry into several active quarries, both open-air and underground. The tour culminates with a visit to the evocative “Cathedral of Marble”, an underground quarry of extraordinary visual impact, capable of conveying the full power and monumentality of this unique landscape.
During the tour, a tasting of the renowned Lardo di Colonnata is included.

To ensure comfort and safety for all participants, we recommend traveling light and avoiding bulky luggage or large suitcases.
In case of bad weather, the tour will be evaluated to ensure the safety of participants. Any rescheduling will be agreed with the client.

Due to the characteristics of the route and the vehicles used, the experience is not suitable for pregnant women or wheelchair users.
Sculpture Workshop Visit
An opportunity to experience the heart of Carrara’s sculptural tradition and observe the work carried out inside an active sculpture workshop. The visit is offered as an additional stop to the Marble Quarries Tour, allowing guests to complete the experience with a direct insight into the transformation of the material, from extraction to the creative process.
During the visit, it will be possible to see sculptors at work and discover tools, techniques and processes that shape marble, through an explanation that helps visitors understand a body of knowledge still deeply connected to the local territory.
The visit is available exclusively as an additional stop to the Marble Quarries Tour, from Monday to Friday.
